An EPSRC network grant was awarded to form a network for the UK’s algorithms and complexity research community. The network grant, AlgoUK, ran from December 2017 until November 2020. The network’s initial membership consisted of algorithms and complexity research groups at six universities:
- Durham University
- King’s College London
- University of Leicester
- University of Liverpool
- Royal Holloway, University of London
- University of Warwick
These research groups (or possibly others) each hosted a network workshop during the lifetime of the grant.
Every network workshop was open to every algorithms and complexity researcher in the UK and the network itself was intended to support the whole community. There were limited funds available to assist with attendance at
AlgoUK’s workshops. Further details about the aims and objectives of
AlgoUK, available funding, and individual workshops can be found by accessing the appropriate tabs above. Details of the
AlgoUK grant can be found
here on the EPSRC website. The Principal Investigator of the
AlgoUK network grant was
Professor Iain Stewart (Durham University).
